4003 neck paint
I have a new 4003 bass. After about 3 months of playing, the paint from the neck has started to colour the white neck binding. Has anyone got any ideas on how to clean the binding to restore its original brilliant white colour?

Every day I'm getting better and better

In a word, no I don't.
On the plus side it looks like your bass is getting mojo already?
I would try and contact RIC's customer service Dept- they come back to work on 1-2-06; I know because I ordered pickups from them and Richard Cannata was nice enough to give me the heads up personally in an email.
If I think of anything I will let you know.
Thanks,
-Dave

On the forum on www.Rickenbacker.com, someone has recently asked the same question about a 620 guitar. One of the most plausible explanations was that it was caused by a reaction between your sweat, the instrument case lining & the finish.
You can view the thread here:
HELP the finish is colouring my neck
Hope this helps explain a probable cause, if not the solution...
