My C64FG arrived last wed.,and I was not expecting it til April, what a Christmas surprise! It now feels great, looks great, despite the imperfections I've found on it, both the trc and pickguard were not placed quite right, and there is a couple of finish issues, but the bass sounds amazing, and Ken you were right, I love it, my others are going to get disgruntled from neglect, and they are all great, but the ric has won my heart and ears, and it is such a tramp already married to my svt brain..on the first gig yet!..the tone is killer....

Ive had mine since April this year, still my favourite, and very hard to put down! I dont think ive even picked up my 4003 since Ive had the C64FG. Its definetely the best guitar Ive ever owned, looks wise, sound wise, and I love the reverse headstock.

I enjoy the ergonomics of my C64. In fact, I'm getting a second one since my fireglo one is set up with TI Jazz flats and I want one with roundwounds. My 4003 is up for sale.

+1 on getting a second C64 to string with rounds except my 4003 Monty is not for sale. Guess I'll have to go for a FG C64, sting it with flats, and restring the C64S MG with rounds, wonder how some DR Reds would look and sound with the satin finish?

I agree with you both Ron and Steve, Im going to get a second one aswell although thinking about a C64S this time round, one with flats, one with rounds, Im going to be selling the 4003 to hopefully finance part of it.

I agree with all the above points about the C64. It is a fantastic bass in all respects. From an ergonomic standpoint, especially, it is simply outstanding. They are a joy to play, and the sound is incredible. Add to the mix the vintage-styled appointments and you get one one phenomenal Ric!

It is nice to see that C64's are starting to gain popularity---look at all the new owners in the last few posts here. Great to see.

A friend stopped by last night on his way to band practice and I showed him my new C64 along with some of my other basses. He mentioned the C64 was the most articulate of the ones he heard.

The C64S MG is indeed a great second choice for you. They do sound nice and sweet with roundwounds and the zero fret.
I just have to get the FG C64 now
