I'm in the market for the new Gibson Custom SG and Flying V Judas Priest set. Only 30 sets made and you have to buy them as a pair.

Naturally, a set would show up on eBay:

Sean, pardon my ignorance, but what is so different about those two guitars that would make them worth 3X what their "non-limited edition" counterparts cost?
If it's merely rarity, that is contrived by the manufacturer, who should be roundly thrashed with some wet catalog price sheets.
That sort of nonsense is whoreism of the worst kind.
If there is a true difference beyond paint color and trim (adding little to the intrinsic value), and the "limited" aspect (which carries no manufacturing burden), please enlighten me.

they are both customized to the specs of the original axes that Priest was using at the time. non standard pickups, bridges, etc and they have the "ageing" process on much of the hardware.
holding them in my hands today really took my breath away.
then there is the rarity/limited run of them. 30 sets each, each handsigned by KK and Tipton. it's a worthy investment (to me), just not one i can afford at the moment.
