Squire 4004?

Post by bottom4 »

Has anyone heard that Squire is now playing a 4004? If so, do you know the specs?

I saw a picture of Squire at the 2001 NAMM show trying out a red 4004. The picture is on John Williams' website. You can link it by going to the Rickenbacker site, go to News and click on 'Related Links'. (It was there the last time I looked).

I downloaded a couple of pictures someone posted on alt.guitar.rickenbacker last January taken at NAMM showing John Hall and Chris Squire and another picture of whoever posted the picture checking out a Trans Green 4004C-II. I think it was stated in the post that this bass was presented to Squire by John Hall. A green bass for Squire makes sense as I've read that green is his fav color.

It would be great to know if Chris is actually using a 4004C-II for productive work instead of hanging it on a wall somewhere.
