Strap buttons.

Post by sabbath_of_bass »

Okay the only problem i have with my ric is the strap buttons. My strap keeps coming off while im playing. And its driving me crazy. I dont want to drop the bass so. Think it could just be the strap or should I change the strap buttons. Im not sure. I dont want to change them but if I have to so I can stop it from falling. I well haha. Oh and they dont have a screw inside it.... X.x blah.

What I used to do was get a new strap and try to keep it on the bass as much as possible. This kept the strap holes from getting too large.

Most folks just get strap locks.

Those little strap buttons are designed for Schaller strap locks. Get the locking mechanisms for your strap and it will not come off until you want it to.

What I do is remove the strap button, get a large plastic washer, put it between the button and the strap and reassemble. My strap is now permanently attached.

Yes, get yourself some Schaller strap locks. You can use the of buttons that come with set on your other bass. That way you can use the same strap with both, if you want.
