Steve-
Don't feel badly. Back then, those guitars were not as desirable...
I did a real silly trade in 1989. I traded a 60 Les Paul Standard for a 6120 of the same era. Back then, the LP was
worth about 3k and the 6120 was worth the same.
Now, the 6120 might fetch 8K and well the burst.......

It doesn't hurt as much as I paid $900 for the Burst....

I could tell about the one that didn't get away.

I bought a R.L. Givens A-style mandolin in 1979 for $600; number 176 written on the inside of one F-hole. I still have that mandolin. Last year my brother told me to do a websearch on Givens and his mandolins. Givens died in 1993, so the number made by him was relatively few (~700 of the model I bought). Mandolin number 178 (built only a week or two later) was listed online for sale for $3,600!

I've never sold or lost a Rick yet & don't intend to, but strange things can happen, so who knows!

My '03 360 JG. No rarity factor, but I just really liked the guitar and miss it a lot.

On the other hand, I traded it for a Gretsch which I also loved and lost. ::sigh::

A red '68 335.
Like the fool I am I traded it for, I can't even remember now...
