Can someone post some pictures of a modern FG and a vintage FG so we can see the actual differences?

Did I miss something in the other posts? The link provided shows the amber fireglo, and under it says "color of the year"!

Superb new colour for 2006 !!!

Now, let`s hope for an announcement at NAMM on a new Bass, a vintage, or a signature model maybe ?

You won't have to wait until NAMM for one of these.

One question: is this, like all other COY's, no longer available after 2006?
I know, dumb question, but I thought I remembered something about this possibly being an option available from now on.

Maybe I'm just tired & can't distinguish between past speculation & the final reality Image

Anyway, I like it more every time I see it, though there's nothing wrong with the standard FG.

AFG looks like Montezuma to me!

I wonder what thew new thing is....any guesses?
Tell me does it feel the same when you've set upon a change but your heart's in the old times?

Huh? Maybe you need a monitor adjustment. Montezuma was distinctly brown while Amber Fireglo is distinctly red with a yellow clear coat.

AFG will not be available beyond 2006. It will also be standard on the new . . . oops, not quite yet.

As I see it the big advantage to the COY this year is that in a couple of years we'll be able to argue about whether some camera-phone snapshot photo in an Ebay auction depicts a Rick product in amber fireglo, original fireglo, montezuma brown or autumnglo.

That's one more, innit?

I already have trouble with AutumnGlo & older FireGlo Image
Never seen AG up close Image
If I ever get my 4080 refinished that's my choice. Much like what Dale is doing for Dave right now!
But that AFG is very tempting!
