Early '80s ambered fireglo....you're right Paul, it is beautiful....
If my 330 didn't have all that nasty checking I would have left it exactly as it was.... Ahhh, but this was the perfect opportunity to let the imagination run wild!

Let me know when you are up this way Tony and I'll make sure that there is some cold "dog" in the beer fridge waiting for you!

I'm up for it, and I know that Graham Griffiths is too.

It's done!! One mid blue 12 & MG 340 out & one 330-12FG & 360FG in.
The 360 is a '97 (same as my main gig 330) & a beautiful deep FG. I know it well, as it used to be mine....lovely neck. Why did I sell it? Because I not only suffer from fireglo madness, but also general madness as well.
I pick them up next tuesday & a massive thanks to Mike Smith at Rics'R'Us for a great deal!

'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.
Unlike the others, I think you're crazy Tony ! How you could trade that 340 MG is beyond me !! Oh well, you are a valuable member of the forum, and I would speculate that the human race has benefited from your existence, overall.

You are very kind Steve, thankyou. I'm also pleased that you think I'm crazy! I'll never get another like it, but, but, but! Paul quite correctly informed me that the reason FG gtrs sound better than other colours IMO, is because I am fired up about them before I even touch them, hence making me a better player. Even a beautiful MG like that one doesn't excite me like a FG, it's a butterflies in the stomach job I'm afraid & nothing does it to me like FG.

Anthony, you're not alone.
I bought a FG 4003 for my FG 360 because the 360 looked "lonely" and needed a playmate.
In my humble opinion, the Rickenbacker fireglo paint job is the best color the company has to offer.
