360
Hi,
I'm a newbie and apologize for bringing up a reoccurring subject but...Santa brought me a new JG 360 and I would like to add a tremolo.
Years ago I owned a FG 330 and called Rickenbacker about adding a Bigsby. They instructed me to use an Accent because it was a semi-hollowbody. I did and loved it.
Fast forward to today with the new 360 JG (330 was sold awhile back)...
I have a vintage Bigsby B-5 on my tele and would like to transfer it to the new Ric. Should I be concerned?? I'm not really worried about drilling into the new guitar, just want to make sure it will work.
Please help, thanks!
Chris

Wow. Whatta coincidence! There's a guy who posted this exact same question on the factory Forum earlier today.
I told him that I'd seen several of these, and if drilling holes in a NEW JG guitar didn't bother him, to go right ahead.
I also said that if it was my guitar, I'd fit an Accent. No holes to drill.

That smell is habit-forming and has been the subject of numerous posts. Let your fingers do the searching here!

Just like to add a comment here that may or may not be applicable. (I'm sure someone will put me right if I'm incorrect!)
I had a desire to fit a B5 to my 350JG, but as I found out the B5 is not a straight forward fitting operation; however it may be on the 360!
You could try putting shims under it to get it to locate without rocking. I went down the path of patiently hand grinding the base of the B5 until I got the desired fit.
It took me a while but I think the results were worth it.

That guitar has a smaller "ducktail" than a 360 or 330. It's a bit more straightforward on the larger models.
Thassa lotta hardware on that 350, man!

Here you go Bill, I like the look and IMHO it isn't over bearing, but I've often been told my taste is in my mouth LOL.
You're right Jason about the job being permanent. There's a lot of work involved in seating the B5 to the body, but I think the effort was worth it.
