Case interiors

Post by kcole4001 »

My 1976 4000 (original) case has a red interior, faded to pink now, but I've been wondering...I think I've only seen one other case interior that was red, though it looked bright orange in the pic.
Most are blue, including my '81 4080 case. My '77 4001 had no case.
Anyone else have red/pink rather than blue?

No red, but a couple of black!
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

I have red interiors in two Rickenbacker cases. My 1959 Model 425 FG and my 1959 Capri 335 MG both have red interiors. My 1960 335F FG has an original blue-lined case as do the rest of my 1960s Rickenbackers.

At various times, cases have also had lining in gold, maroon, and orange. Gold is probably the rarest.

Only three blue and one black here also.

I really like the re-issue vintage cases.

This is appears to be a red colour, but is closer to orange..

Ken's 72 had a purple interior which was by far the coolest colour I have seen...

The cases for both of my left-handed '72s are like Andy's case, only the accessory pocket is at the opposite end.

Andy, that pic is just IT man. What an ensemble.

Here's the basis for my curiosity:
it came with my 1976 FG 4000

Very pink/purple. Funny, but it's been this way since I got it in '86!
Definitely the original case (replacement handle). It came out very orange when I used the room lighting & no flash.
This is with room lighting + flash & is quite faithful to the real color.
Maybe this is the maroon?

Oh, & thank you all for answering something so trivial Image
