Funny. I tried to buy from him few parts just before christmas. I´m living in europe.
Our local re-seller/authorized dealer is not very interest to make business with ric guitars and accessories. Closest place to order things is UK, but prices are much more higher than in USA. So I want to buy those by a reasonable price.
We didn´t made any business never. First I didn´t hear nothing from my order.
I e-mailed him and asked, whats up, he answered that he can´t authorize my c-card. That happened twice.
My card worked and working well all the time...??? There is nothing wrong with my card.
So, I told him, that it have to be his billing company´s problem, not mine. He didn´t never answer.
Now, after 4 weeks it´s good to know, that he´s middle of moving, not disappeared.
Anyway, I´m still without ric parts and don´t know where can buy them.
Is here any-one, who is interested to make a business?

See the thread "Rics R us", you're not the only one having trouble.

I had this problem with a customer of mine in Qatar. The problem was his bank, not our billing company, as I checked with them about this problem. My credit card (CC) billing company said that when a merchant runs a card or punches the number into the CC machine, the cardholder's bank is who authorizes the transaction, not the merchant's CC billing company.

American Rickenbacker dealers are contractually enjoined from shipping outside of the USA. You need to conmtact your nearest distributor.

Many merchants, like ourselves, have credit card accounts where the bank absolutely requires address verification service (AVS) in order to keep fraud losses at a minimum. As a result many foreign addresses are rejected as unverifiable and even some places in U.S. territories like Guam, Puerto Rico, or the Virgin Islands.
Along a similar line, many banks will not process cards from other countries anymore without prior arrangement. I now have to call Bank of America and Citibank every time I travel overseas to be sure my cards will work properly for the time I'm away. It really shouldn't be that way, but who can blame them?
Anyway, the basic problem here is soon likely to be a moot point.
