I'm speechless, I'm jealous, I want one, does it have a pick-up ? Full report, please ...

The 12 stringer is from Mike Parks. I've had the Jumbo for some time now.

No it's not E3. It's got the most beautiful rosewood sides and back I think I've ever seen on an acoustic. Even the spruce looks 'flammy'. According to Mike it's been in it's case sitting in a warehouse in Japan. I've got to put a new set of strings on asap. The orginals are dead as a hammer.

Hey Cole.
Wow, gorgeous, congratulations.
Here’s a dumb question.
Which way do Ric acoustics pair their strings: low/high or high/low?

Considering it just arrived from 'The Land Of The Rising Sun', you might say that this is a guitar that shall live on in inflammy. Alright, I'm sorry about that one...

Mark, they are strung low on top and high on bottom. Really opposite of any other 12 string guitar.

OK, I do have one slight problem. The action is WAY too low. It's buzzing like crazy! The truss rods are fine. Sounds like I need a higher saddle.
Maybe it will settle down in the next few days. It has been on a long journey to North Carolina.

It seems like it took forever to get one.

What's weird is both of mine are made in 2001. I think that a couple other people on this board have 2001 models. That seems to be a good year as far as production was concenred.

Cole, the two I just received last week were from the same source in Japan. I cannot imagine why they could not be sold over there in 5 years.

What did you hear? Mine were not from Mike P.

Dun know Dave, it appairs to me that no one in Japan actually plays 'um, just collects 'um. It's a shame too. Mike wouldn't give me alot of info but from what I can gather I think there is alot more where these came from. Just the right deal will get 'um back over to the States I'm sure.

BTW, when I think of Folk or country music, Japan dosen't come to mind. Maybe that's why they don't sell.
