I'm glad you didn't say "... rock out like Motorhead ..."! Image

That's how I feel if My Rick get's turned into a Geddy bass or I get a GL jazz.. Only Rush would be played on those two from then on.

Sean, I can picture you with a T-bird.. sweet...

Bah, there's no money above the 5th fret anyway. Grats on the bass, Sean! Image

That's the one thing I have a problem with on mine...but I get by! Image 15th fret on the G string is as high as I go.
Also, beware when you hit that note and hold the bass up for all to see, that neck is long and might hit certain ceilings. Just a tip. Image

You guys are sissies! I play up to the 19th fret on the G on mine. I think with some songs I go to the 20th, and I'd kill for a 21st.

When I had a 24 fret bass I went to the top all the time. Just little improv in the middle of a song.. Image

I've been working on "Heart Of The Sunrise", that song is all over the fretboard.

"and I'd kill for a 21st"

Me too, on my Ricks. I do have 24 "fret" positions on my Zon fretless, and 21 "fret" positions on my Rick Turner fretless.

Nate, I assume you are not talking about a Thunderbird when you talk about going up that high....You'd have to have done some serious mods!
