John Hall has said that there will be future V and C series instruments. I believe he also said that the C series isn't just about "Beatle" guitars. I belive that the V series represent past models but may not be 100% "authentic" to the originals. The C series are meant to be exact replicas, (or as close as possible). A good example is the V63 and C64 basses. Headstock aside, the C64 is meant to be a truer representation of a 4001S than the V63. JH - please correct if I'm not on the mark here.

The V68 (or whatever RIC wants to call it) is a different animal from the C64. A Deluxe vs. a Special.

Make sense to me…
