And as if by magic here is that version, still prefer Crispian St Peter's version by a long way though.

Holy Moly Roy; Sylvia now sings all the bass parts in "Quartette" with 3 other ladys and they all sing like birds, but Sylvia has got quite huskey sounding in her elder yrs.hence the bass parts..thanks for finding that

Richard, you get to play/sing with Sylvia! You’re kidding! That is just too much. I love her. You are a very lucky man.

If the following is not too chauvinistic of a comment, you may pass it on:

In the film Festival Express, there is a clip of Ian and Sylvia performing on stage and Sylvia is wearing a short/short skirt. And she has a pair of the most gorgeous legs you ever saw.

Jorma and I were talking * about the movie once and I happened to mention my Sylvia comment. He said “Yeah, everyone used to have the hots for her back then.”

If any of you have seen the Festival Express movie, you know that Janis Joplin steals the show. I had almost forgotten how absolutely amazing Janis could be sometimes.

* Let me take this time to apologize for my occasional “Jorma and Jack” stories. When one frequents Fur Peace and gets to meet one’s idols, these kind of stories tend to crop up. Again, I offer my apologies. - Mark

Reminds me of "La Bamba" somehow... nice guitar work, anyway...

Mark; I'm a live sound guy and Sylvia, and now Quartette are one of the acts that I get to mix occaisionaly, they are'nt that busy any more, Sylvia still looks great and is a real nice lady, I remember Festival Express, and I saw some of the artists at Coronation Park, just outside the princess gates at the CNE, just need to remember who they were,..Bonnie and Delany, Mountain, if I can dig up any more I'll post, I saw alot of different shows then, 19-20.. impressionable years, but nothing like still being able to still play and still get the yaya's out..at the ripe old age of 55...cheers

I'm a big fan of Delaney and Bonnie.
Saw them at the Fillmore East (opening for The Byrds of all people).
I don't remember much about the show other than I got to slap Delaney's hand. (I was sitting in the front row somehow.)
Whenever I go on a long car ride I always take along the 'On Tour' live CD and blast it.
