GCrep reform?
Didn't someone mention here a week or two ago that the eBay auctions put up by the various "gcrep" dealers were going to be corrected to have more realistic prices? It certainly ain't happened yet. And there's still this '77 MG (for $2,150) with the picture half blocked out by a gray box; been that way for months, just keeps getting relisted. Is anyone there thinking?

Actually I spoke to him again and he said the same thing.
Ive gone as far as contacting ebay about us [and the rest of the world] having to endure seeing these multiple listings every week but I'm only one person.
I would list the phone # but last time I did the post disappeared so look it up.
Call: Guitar Center corp headquarters in CA, ask for [ext. 2510] Grant Sheffield and complain as I have.

They have a new group therapy for GCreps ... Over-pricing Idiots anonymous ... the meeting starts out with "Hi, I'm Joe and I am an idiot GCrep who doesn't have a clue on how to price a guitar on ebay" ... and everybody else says "Hi Joe" ... another chimes in ... "I started out overpricing marbles and baseball cards as a Kid" ... another chimes in ... "Gee I have painted my fingernails black and pierced my nose, so I figured I knew what I was doing" ... another chimes in "Ya I listed a 70s Rickenbacker for $3300, I figured if I made a reference to a famous Rickenbacker player that somebody would pay 3 times the price of a new bass to get an old worn out 25 year old bass" ... another chimes in ... "Ya I thought that if I kept relisting the same auction for 5 or 6 years then eventually it would sell" ...

One thing I did learn from last nights mishap.is
I got a your the guy who complained to Grant at corporate.
It apears the change is taking effect.
After a item is listed for a week if they relist they have to drop the price each time.
Notice the lack of GC auctions on the bay.
Grant came down on them hard.
From what I heard last night.
I also spoke w/him today [he was at NAMM] about last nights stuff and the other account in my name.

Hahahaha, the Guitar Center in Atlanta is so ******! They hardly have anything good, basswise . . . the one thing that caught my eye, besides a Warwick Thumb that was so butt-ugly that I couldn't help but stare, was a Pedulla, which I sat down and played. Everything else was like, a wall of P-basses, a wall of J-basses, some Stingrays, and some cheap Ibanez beginner basses. Nothing . . .
