Live Searchers tapes

Post by richard56 »

I am wondering how much live stuff from the 1960's exists in the vaults and also in people's private collections. I have a poor sounding tape that someone gave me years ago (I am going to try to clean it up and tweak the sound with my cool edit pro program) of further Swedish radio songs not included in the 1967 portion of the recent "Swedish Radio Sessions" cd which include: 1) Love Potion #9 2) I'm Ready 3) What Have They Done To The Rain and 4) Take It Or Leave It. Also on the same tape is a concert from Hong Kong from, I believe 1966, which includes 1) When You Walk In the Room 2) Goodbye My Love 3) I'm Ready 4) Bumble Bee 5) Don't Throw Your Love Away 6) Sweet Little 16 7) Someday We're Gonna Love Again 8) Take Me For What It's Worth and 9) Love Potion #9.
Are these recordings fairly common? Are there more out there somewhere? Again, my tapes are nth generation and they need cleaning up but maybe the originals sound this way (unless you have the masters like were used for "Swedish" cd). Can anyone add anything to this?

In private collections a high number I would think from 70' 80's 90's. s for the sixties may be few in number as the cassette tape did not take off if memory serves me correctly till the seventies, so in the sixties it would have to have been done on reel to reel
