Is this legit?

Zero feedback and a new account. The seller informs us that the V63 currently retails for about $6000. Hmmm. Does anyone recognize the pics?

His location is local. If anyone has interest I can see if local pickup is available and if I can see it before bidding ends.

I'd beware. look at the pics closely and then read the description.

"Includes a black hardshell Rickenbacker case. One of the clasps is missing, but the case is still quite functional. Bass is sold as is and no returns" .

My V63 came from the factory in a black hardshell case. The vintage silver case wasn't available back then.

Seeing the bass pictured is in a vintage silver case, you gotta wonder about the seller. Especially with a zero feedback rating.

Yes. All three latches appear to be present on the silver VRI case. Good spot Scott.

My concern is, that if it comes with a black hardshell case, then why are we looking at a silver vintage re-issue case??

That being said, you gotta wonder, is this indeed the bass being sold??

If its real, it may go for cheap. I notice that he dosent accept Paypal.

Alot of people wont bid if they cant use Paypal.

I've picked up alot of nice stuff from people who will only take cashiers checks or money orders.

Jeff how the hell do you post those big pictures?

I try to do the less than 500x500 pixel thing, and they still get denied.

Do you compress the image somehow ??

It is not just the dimensions. You have to reduce the file size too. They can't be more than 34K or so. Most photo editors have the ability to adjust the output quality. If you lower the quality a bit before you save the pic will be smaller in file size.

I make sure they are no more than 500 pixels on the longest dimension and just slightly smaller than 35K if possible. I use Photoshop 5.5 or if I get it to work right, I will start using PS CS2.

I got the pics I asked for from the guy with the V63, so I guess this is legit! Image
