Lou, Unfortunately I do not have a 350V63, although if circumstances were different this year I surely would have ordered one in Blueburst.... however, this is the year we decided to strike out on our own with a home-based business, and the "play money" has been a bit tighter this year than in the past....
I suppose I could have ordered the Blueburst, but instead I opted to use my "play money" to give a couple of the Rics in my collection some badly-needed beauty treatments--see the thread entitled "Melibee's Kiddees" in the Curmudgeon's column for more on those....
I think the end results there will be worth the sacrifice of my dream of a blueburst 350.....

"Once I've held and played the best, baby, I won't settle for less!"
I have BEE Duo Jet too as well my Ric 360. Lots of folks say I have all the Beatle sounds I need. Of course they are dead wrong LOL..
I'd like to have a Casino someday and a Ric 350/12. I have fourteen guitars now including my basses and my wife seems to really like my guitars.
I will probably have to buy two Casino's because of her since she really likes the cherry and I want the sunburst. Her favorite color is red if you have'nt guessed already.

Hey John that one of the better looking
MG. How does it play and what string do you
use? There just something about the look of
the 350V63 that catches you eye where I live
you don't see that many of them around and the
same goes for my Gretsch 6128TBEE Duo Jet.
That one of the reason why I play those guitars
and each has its own vibe. When recording with
the 350V63 has anyone just miked the guitar with
out plugging it into the amp. Next would be using
the amp and mixing the two sounds together has
this been done.

No other guitar sound as good as a Rickenbacker thru a Vox AC-30TBX
John - I will be staying with the Rickenbacker
strings they feel good and sound good. Now on
my Gretsch I like the Pyramid Gold because when
I orderd the guitar I requested those strings.
Tony - with changing the pickup out and adding
a High Gain how does that effect the over all
sound of your guitar. Also what if you put in a
Humbucker in stead of a High Gain would you still
get the sound that you want. For me I like what
I have and I will keep it stock. Now with my
Gretsch either this year or next year I will
have TV Jones pickups put in. With both guitars
I now have a varitey of sounds.

I'm wondering if Paul could bring his router, when he visits the UK.......
I actually approached a luthier several months ago about adding an F hole to my 350V63. He said it could be done easily & they often do it on other gtrs, with no finish problems. I am a little concerned though, that non Ric folks wouldn't perform the operation with the same sympathy as Paul or Dale would. I am not concerned over the quality of work (the luthier concerned is world renowned), but I know that Paul adjusted the F hole dimensions slightly, to make it look just perfect.

'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.
