Ah yes, the early to mid 80's, when it was GOOD to be an Islander fan!

And then the 90's, when they changed to the Gorton's fisherman logo? Image Not so good...

I'm the biggest Leafs fan you could find...well especially in Georgia. With McCabe hurt we're screwed. Tonights game with those damn Senators could get ugly.

How on earth in Georgia, did you become a leafs fan Chris? Mind you, the last leafs game I went to was when they still had 6 teams and they were still at the Gardens, I've worked more shows there than saw games, but it was kind of cool to stand on the same stage as the Beatles, Stones, Beach Boys, Grand Funk, Sly, Chicago...etc... whilst working some other shows

Who was #19 on the Habs back in '78? The Rust Never Sleeps film shows Neil's guitarist (Frank Sampedro?) wearing that jersey.

Steve (C) I can understand your dislike for some of the Canucks 70-80s uniforms. They suck big time, especially the "V" Jersey and pants. YUK!!! The original jersey is a classic. I love it. Their new Jersey is OK. IMO it is certainly better than NY, NJ, NYI, Pheo, Car, Columbus, Ana, Minn and a number of other teams. The leafs lost 7-0 to the Senators tonight. Let's just see how the Canucks do against the Habs. The Leafs have never been on my list of favorite teams. They do have one of the best coaches in hockey, Pat Quinn, who as it so happens, is an ex-Canuck. LOL

Hmm less than 5 minutes in it's 3-0 for the Canucks. You were saying Steve? Oh and BTW they are wearing their classic uniforms.

LOL

6-0 Now. Four minutes go in the 1st. Not that I am rubbing it in. But I rest my case. Canucks rule.

I know, I was watching that first period, oh, that was ugly. Canadiens were not playing defence at all!
Nice jerseys, though. They should wear them all the time. I love having CBC in the states in Detroit.
That Ottawa / Toronto game was just flat ugly as well. What's going on with these teams, don't they have any pride?

Ottawa is a very talented team. They will probably win the cup this year if they don't have another huge melt down, like last year.

Many Canuck fans would would agree with you and I on their vintage jerseys. They should change back to them for regular use.
