No different to Glazer in Tampa...

The first ballot proposal to build a new stadium using public money was rejected. Hey, it is illegal, you know...

He threatens to take the team away, and, before you know it, it's there again, this time snug nicely in a new proposal with a few new roads to be built and some more $$$ for schools.
No problem this time!

Sounds like the old Bush/Texas Rangers deal, minus the eminent domain land grab.

Detroit is owned by the Fords / GMs / Chryslers of the world, and the Illitches, who own the Red Wings / Tigers / Theatres / Entertainment Venues (except for the Palace).
I'm happy Forsberg went to the Flyers, because they will NEVER win the cup as long as Bobby Clarke is in the head office. Don't get me started on the Canadian exodus of hockey teams due to $$$, I'll be writing all day!!!!!!

Whomever owns my town is ashamed to admit ownership. So much is screwed up, that no one wants to own up to it all. Serious! Actually, I'm speaking moreso of the county I live in, not just the town I live in.
