Spoke with the guys Saturday night including Mike Campbell's tech for the past 14 years who calls himself "Chinner".

Mikes #3 made 1963 RIC 12 has standard, "forward tone controls like a Les Paul".

Mikes and George Harrison's 12 strings were practically made during the same time in December of 1963.

The Dirty Knobs put on a great show with lots of surf guitar.

Additional coolness factor was Heartbreaker bassist Ron Blair sitting in with The Knobs this past weekend.

Thanks Joe, it all helps for sure. I hope others will chime in too. My '61 450 and '62 425 had revrse wiring on the tone pots.

Are the solder joints on your 625 original?

Sorry I'm so late on this one. I have a 63 900 which has it reversed, and a 64 1000 which is normal. -J Dog

My '60 365 has reversed.

Again, Chinner says Mike Campbells #3 RIC 12 (Dec. '63 - made the same time as Harrison's) has forward tone controls.

I recently purchased a rare Sceusa necked, factory jetglo 425 (Dec. '63) which has a reversed tone control!

I wonder if Mike's and George's 12 string prototypes were considered "new" models for upcoming 1964 with possible standard forward controls???
