330/12 MG AMBER at PM Blues

Post by atomic_punk »

I just saw that PM Blues got a 330/12 MG AMBER in stock. Does this mean that the amber is not limited to the FireGlo finish? An ambered MapleGlo would look great.

Our friends at RIC need to comment on this.

From conversations at NAMM, it is my understanding that there were only test samples of AMG (Amber Mapleglo) done (IIRC, at the RIC booth a 5002v58 AMG and a 660 AMG were on display), and AMG will not be offered as an optional finish.

If the one cited is for real, it would be one very special guitar ...

I spoke with Paul at PM Blues about this guitar. He said that they received it, checked it out for a few minutes, then went about their "appointed tasks." He also mentioned that it will be a few days before he's able to do anything with it (I think he's out of town). I believe he does plan on posting pics on his site.

Does anyone have pics of the other AMG Ricks from NAMM? Rick rarities rock.

I guess this thread should have been started in the guitar section, but here goes anyway. I just got some pics from Paul. The 330/12 is supposedly AMG - the 360 is there for comparison.

We axed the AMG idea rather late in the game, but a few were already built. I believe there is the 330/12, a 350, two 4003's, and a 5002 that ended up (or will end up) in the hands of some lucky individuals. The AMG really didn't look different enough for us to even bother producing.

So will those 4003's just go out randomly to a store that put in an order for a standard MG?

Or can you just send them to my house? I'll even spring for shipping.
