Just a BIT pricey for me, someone may snag it though.

Dave,

Are you talking about this one:

http://www.garysguitars.com/content/services_details.asp?record=1009

It's actually priced at $11,900 with original hard case.
Nice condition and comes with the bridge cover.

I called CME and they informed me that they get 4005s quite often at a cost between $7-$9K.

Mike Park's 4005 looks like it has 1 walnut wing and 1 maplewing.

I am probably one of the reasons for that 4005 of Gary's being priced so high....Image

Well,
When I called CME they mentioned that the reason for the high price is the demand in the last 3 years. Go figure.
I can understand collectors driving up the price but so high in a short period?
I just want a player (or two). I don't intend on hanging it on wall or setting it aside in a collection. I plan on recording with it.
At least I can say in my life time that I've played live with a 4005 bass, if I don't find one.
Though I would love an 8-string but $20k is a down payment on a house, a second mini cooper or a nice SSL board.
