Help, Need a shipping box!

Post by teeder »

I'm in the process of buying a 4001V63, but neither the seller or I can find a box to pack the case in. He lives in a small town in California and no where near a guitar shop. He tried a UPS store, but they wanted about $140.00 to box and ship it. I want to avoid that if possible.
Anyone, North of Sacramento have a box we can use?

AAARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!

The guy I bought my 4080 from used a bike box & a lot of newspaper.
The problem is that it's quite bulky, so UPS rated it at 85 lbs.
Maybe a medium size kid's bike box.

Guitar shops will usually give you one or more if you ask, as they only throw most of them away. (At least they do here in the UK).

The UPS store should sell him the box. Even though the store is expensive, they probably will charge him around $12-15.

Right on, J.C.!

I buy them 5 at a time from U-line, so I've always got a couple nearby.....

I agree with Marc, the UPS store should sell him the box! That is ridiculous if they won't!

Kevin, I just sent you an e-mail with a possible solution.

Go to a music store and ask for one of the boxes SKB bass cases are shipped in. I just shipped a 4003 to Redvette in one.
