'66 450, '83 Sierra and '05 350V63 for sale

Post by phlemmy »

My guy at Guitar Center called me to come in and look at the 3 RICs he got in last week so I rolled down there today.

1. 1966 450 12-string in excellent condition with OHSC. Asking $1,600 but I can walk with it at $1,200. Jetglo, toasters. I was really impressed with the condition.

2. 2005 350V63 Jetglo in perfect condition. Asking $1,299 but I didn't inquire on what he'd sell it to me for.

3. Sierra in natural with gold hardware and gold straplocks. The jackplate reads WD 4537 (I wrote it down as WO 4537 but that doesn't compute in the serial decoder, so I figure it must be a D and I read it wrong). Asking $750 but he showed me that the neck has a serious twist in it. I am no tech so I can't tell if it's fixable or not. He said he'd let me take it for $450 just to move it.

If you're interested in any of these let me know.

Sean: I sounds as if the Sierra may be going out the door for even less than you were quoted.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Sean,

What part of the world is the Guitar Center in? I'll be traveling to Los Angeles and, possibly, St Louis and DC in the near future. Is this GC in any of those areas?

I can't tell how G.C. does business. Some of their used stuff from different stores turns up on ebay. Others do not. And you can't seem to locate an individual store on it's own, check its inventory, etc. Which VA store is this one in?

This particular store does no eBay business. I know the guy who bought it from the seller very well and he is a class act...he's also my guitar player!

The particular store is in Virginia Beach, VA. 757-557-0277. Ask for Brian Malbone or Luke Ponessa and tell them that I sent you.

The prices listed above are if I bought it myself, but you can probably still get a deal. The V63 is gone and after closer look at the Sierra, it's a piece of junk. Fretboard popping off, body wings separating, twisty neck. The 450, though, is incredible. It really does look like new.
