Wow! In the headstock shot, is that a reflection of a flower? Whatever it is, it truly gives a sense of how magnificent the sheen must be-I can only imagine that these stunning photos only really hint at what the finish looks like in person. Stunning. Have I said that already?

I missed the unveiling!! I can't believe it! Weeks of torment and fun and I missed it!!

Well I'm caught up now. Congratulations Melissa! She is a stunner! Beautiful color. What a fantastic job Paul, from mixing that great color, perfect burst application, gold guards and that shine! All I can really say is WOW! Now I can't wait to see what happens to your Capri!

Green in Montreal. (Realy rare this time of year).

John B, I exchanged the white TRC with raised lettering with RIC for the gold one (had to hand over a little cash too, LOL!).... From the very beginning I knew a Purpleburst would look the best with gold guards, oven knobs and matching TRC.... I'm glad I was right!

Paul did a great job in turning my ideas and dreams into a beautiful reality..... I hope to have this lovely in my hands by the end of the week. I can't wait.

I have always loved this guitar, but didn't play it out much because of its rather worn condition, but now it will probably be my main electric. In looking at these pictures I am thoroughly smitten all over again....

Finally got some more shots from this morning uploaded.

These are interesting because they pose Melissa's 330 by itself, with my '65 Magnatone M-10 "suitcase" amp, and with some of my other Rickenbackers. You'll see my 325 (refinished from a MG 320), my 381 with custom guards and oven knobs, and my so-far-untouched Ruby 360WB, which is slated for a refinish sometime this summer, I hope.

The really big original versions of these pictures (28 X 22, 12.5 MB)) look pretty good. I'm going to select a few and do poster-sized inkjet prints.

It ships tomorrow.

Thanks Paul.

I feel like I have just witnessed a spectacular event. A once in a lifetime occurrence. One that has left me breathless.

You must be panting a bit too, Paul. You've given birth on Melibee's behalf! Image

Don't ask. Image

He just wants me to get it back fast, so I don't race to check for more pictures on the Forum every 15 minutes, LOL!

BTW, Paul, she looks lovely posing with your Rickenfamily.... I will have to take some family pics soon. And a few of her and her Turquoise 325 sister together....

Absolutely stunning work, Paul! I love the color.

My first reaction was "It's PRINCE-GLO!" ;-)

Or call it "Pur-Paul Burst" or spell that as "Per-Paul Burst" ;-)

Whatever... That is one fine job there!

And Melissa - If you'd started driving when the first pictures were released, you'd be there playing it by now!

That's what I'd do - drive cross-country to pick it up just because I don't trust any shipping company to take good care of such a treasure. Or at least I hope you're getting overnight delivery.

Enjoy!

(Warm chuckle....)....thanks, Steve!

BTW, did he say "poster?"

Paul, if you decide to sell posters, count me in as first in line--the wall above my desk is longing for something to rest my eyes on!
