Yes, it is nice. But that's too much to pay for a re-fin with cheesy aftermarket tailpiece and gigantic holes drilled through the head for those Schaller tuners IMHO.

Is it possible to get those Schaller tuners with posts that are the right size for the stock holes in the headstock?

I don't think so, Bobcat. They're nice and heavy-duty and I think being over-sized is part of the plan:
