Excellent condition??? Right!

Post by leftyguitars »

Excellent condition it says, (if you don't count the buckle rash, the missing knob top and the missing toggle switch top I suppose it is) obviously his definition of "excellent" is different to the rest of the worlds!

His definition of "all original" is also a bit nonstandard, as the knob missing its insert is not original in the sense of "as it came from the factory."

I have played that guitar--Southworth is about 30 minutes from my house. It has some serious finish checking, which isn't apparent in the pictures. Some pretty big dings, also. It DOES play very nicely, however, and I don't know how many of these there are around, so in that sense, it is "excellent" that it exists. Steep, though.

My decision last spring to finally fulfill a 30-year-old dream to get a lefty Rick actually started with driving up to Bethesda to look at this one. I ultimately ended up ordering a new lefty 620 FG. After 6 months of waiting, I broke down and bought a different lefty off ebay.

Are you seriously thinking of buying it? Take a look at the Gibson Goldtop banjo with PAFs in his inventory, and then at his "sales policies". Southworths is a great place to visit--a lot of VERY cool stuff.
