Dave, I bet that Wet Willie show was great. I remember the old "Drippin Wet" album recorded live in New Orleans on New Years Eve. I would have loved to seen them too.

Yeah Bob, As Skip said "I was top loaded..." Pretty much the case for the '70's.

Regarding Wet Willie, I saw them at the Fox, they opened up for Dr. John. Great show, kinda the first time I was exposed to the New Orleans sound by Dr. John. He had that "Wrong Place/Right Time" song at the time if I remember correctly.

I was with Jack Hall (Wet Willie bass player) for a very short time back in '02 -- putting together a "Black Tie/Corp band" that fell completely apart after tons of rehearsals, damn band never even played a gig.

It was a shame and a complete waste of time.

Jacks a good bass player, knows lots of WW songs. ;>)

The band I'm in now we do "Keep On Smilin'".

Soooo... simple, just a 1,5 and a 4. Key of "G" modulate to "A".

In the order I can think of them - Beatles, Stones, Who, ELP (2x), Edgar Winters, Jeff Beck Group, Steppenwolf, Three Dog Night, Humble Pie, Ten Years After, Wings, Macca, Brian Ferry, Clapton (2x) Neil Young (2x) Led Zepplin, Elton John, The Pretenders (missed the opening act, Iggy Pop), Donovan (2x), Blasters Dwight Yoakum and GNR (all in small L.A. clubs), Marvin Gaye, Brian Auger's Oblivion Express (at the Whiskey!), Mahavishnu Orchestra (w/ Billy Cobham and Jan Hammer), Scatman Crothers, Riders In The Sky, Chick Corea's band (w/ Al DiMeola and Stanley Clarke), Everly Brothers, Smokey Robinson, Los Lobos, Peter Tosh, Rusty Anderson, Sting, Rick Nelson, King Crimson. Went to a taping of Midnight Special once, can't remember anyone but Billy Preston. I'm forgetting many. Mostly since the '80's have been heavily supporting local bands and clubs, as the older I get the less willing I am to drive, stand in lines or pay huge bucks to see someone play.

There's some great bands in there that I haven't had the pleasure of seeing. My first concert was Eric Clapton when I was 14 followed by Paul Weller, Sting, Paul Carrack, Madness, Pink Floyd, Yes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and others that I can't remember. I do wish I had been young enough to have seen Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Who (with John and Moonie) and Cream amongst others.

I like seeing local bands but they are getting few and far between through my way

You guys make me feel soooo old - I guess I am... Haven't any of you Ric people out there seen The Byrds - or at least McGuinn? I saw Roger and the gang about a dozen times between 1968 - 1973. Last time I saw Roger was at a mobile TV taping last year.

Mick: Jason and the Scorchers were the GREATEST EVER! They played Knoxville often back in the 80s during my college days.

More recently, many John Hiatt shows--one of the few that will get me out of the house to a big show these days...
