Brad Shepherd, lead guitarist for The Hoodoo Gurus spotted playing a MG 450/12 on their video for "When You Get To California". www.musichead.com.au/site/artistStreams.asp?actID=21123

Lead singer Dave Faulkner also used a JG 450/12 in his side band "Persian Rugs".

Also, its the only song that I know of that features a RIC and a Mariachi band. And it works!

Man, I love the Gurus!!! Saw them twice during the "Mars Needs Guitars" tour. It's great that they are back together.

Love The Hoodoo Gurus!

I discovered them in early 1984 while living in New Zealand when their first album was released.

Stoneage Romeos and The Church-Seance were both heavily spun that year!

I did manage to catch The Hoodoo Gurus at a tiny club in Houston during the Mars Needs Guitars tour.

Speaking of the album 'Stoneage Romeos', I saw their first video to 'I want You Back' on a late Sunday night New Zealand TV show called Radio With Pictures.

The video had some rare custom model dinosaurs that were rented for the shoot. The dinosaurs grouped together and sang the back up vocals in the song. lol
