I don't know anything about the value of these. I always wanted a 4005LS, but I gave up on that.

I do not know even what to look for in condition, that would make this less or more valuable.

Any thoughts?

Didn't this one belong to Kenny Howes?

It pretty nice Dave, looks like it's all there. This one is a type 2 of course...Kenny still has his I think.

John Minutaglio would be a good one to chime in on this one...

Mine is sitting on a stand next to me as I type this, here at RIC HQ. Besides, mine is Jetglo.

Where are you going to find another one?
And I don't think Kenny's is going anywhere anytime soon...

Kenny's has a translucent TRC that matches the body coverplate.

There should be a light under the TRC?

All 331s I've seen have dot markers.

Hindsight is 20/20. We thought about an LED in there, with wires run up the truss rod cavity, yadda yadda yadda, but stuck with tradition (such as it is on a guitar that lights up).

Anyway, this Burgundy one looks like Da Bizniz. A little on the high side price-wise perhaps, expecially since there's wear. Problem is, find another one...

Price seems right in there to me. If I didn't have a deal going on another Rick I'd pounce.
The guys at Fretware are very nice to deal with. Their
assessments of condition can be slightly optimistic, but considering the rarity of this one, as Kenny said you can go
find another...

For $12,000.00, I can almost buy a LK in Las Vegas.

I heard they sold it on 01.27.2006 or so... That's all I really know.
