Those Bogens were everywhere. We used one of them back in '68, along with four Atlas Sound parabolic sound columns. A very common smaller PA setup in the Chicago area in those days. I recall EV 664s as backup mics, with two Shures--those big chrome cages that everyone used to call "Elvis mics" as leads.

Thanks John. One of Lennon's easiest performances of Twist and Shout to be sure.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Thanks John,

It was also nice to see Dusty Springfield again too. To just think that three of those famous artists are all dead. John, George and Dusty. What a sad thought.

Within 5 years of using Shure columns and my having a 50 watt Bassman amp, my bands had grown to using two JBL 4560 cabs with one horn on each side of the stage for mains, powered by a 600 watt BGW amp. I had an Acoustic 360, the guitarist had a Marshall full stack and the keyboardist a double Leslie he had built himself powered by a 200 watt BGW. The clubs were the same size but we played a whole lot louder. My ears used to ring for hours after a gig. Wuzzatusay??

Perhaps it was Brian who encouraged them to continue the two on one mic bit, thinking it might broaden their appeal.ImageImage
