sweet!

How is the neck on this one, Jeffrey? '86 seems to be a good year for slim Ric necks....

Believe it or not chris this neck is a real freak . Tiny at the peghead and then tapering up . thin and round . Its almost exactly like and early 70's Jazz bass

Definitely need that one for the book. Ruby with black trim is unusual. Usually has white binding, while "red" usually has black. Gotta document all that stuff.

Speaking of black binding, see separate thread.

Jeff, you din't tell me the Ruby was looking that good... I might have gone for that rather than the 'S' myself. Beautiful bass.

Ruby with black trim is very rich (in color) looking. Nice buy!

Congrats, Jeff. Nice pick. Rubys are rare and cool...and mid-80's necks are sweet. I have a couple of Rubys: an '87 4003S and an '89 4003S5.

Now go rock out like Motorhead!
