You can never have too many V63s, or 4005s for that matter!
I played my V63 (ex-Pappas) out last night at CPRFF2 www.cprff2.com. That had to be the LOUDEST gig we ever did! Why do sound dudes feel they have to overload the room?

Hey Jeff; I agree about how some guys like to mix way to loud, I'm a sound dude, and one of the shows i get to mix on occiasion, is a 4 pc. rock and roll band 3-4 jingle singers, and 30-40 pcs, of an orchestra, last show in Oct. was an entire Beatles program, the drummer is in the London Ont. symphony, and conducts Roger Hodgsons shows when he comes thru., but I mix that show around 95 db, and sort of peak around 100db, and this is with around 70 open mics thru the system, and I never get any squeeling, mind you on the other hand, if I get an A.C.D.C. clone band, I sort of try to mix stuff in around the loud stuff off the stage, and try to keep it to a manageable level, which is hard to do, and sort of ties my hands somewhat, anyhow, I know how you feel.

I drop by Midtown music pretty regularly and Dave and Page are great guys to deal with. If I'd seen that before they put it on ebay it'd be mine. I traded my old 70's svt head for a FG 1987 4003s8 there a few years ago.
Chris Poteat, drop by Maddy's on Scott blvd on a monday between 7 and 10 sometime and introduce yourself....I'd like to meet some other forum members here in Atlanta. I'm the bass player (duh!) in Code Blue. Although, I usually play my Reverend I'll bring my 4001 or 4005 if your gonna come by.

Hey David, I'll certainly try & swing by sometime. I'm in Single Malt Solution...we played Smith's Olde Bar last Monday. I like Midtown Music, but I'm an Atlanta Discount Music man!
Hope to see you soon. I'll bring a 3001 - nowhere near as cool as a 4005, but still a little left of center in Rickland!
