Question on 4005...

Post by ealdrett »

Does anyone out there know what kind of sound a 4005/6 produces and a 4005/8? Before anyone cites other guitar models, what I want to know is what is the actual intonation with the chamber and toaster pups configuration. Does anyone have a recording of either of these instruments or know of any albums or songs that utilize these particular models?
I've owned a 4005 and know what the 4 string beauty sounds like but I'm just curious on the 6 and 8 string. I've also owned a Danelectro 6 string bass and I've played a Fender Bass VI.

The 6 and 8 would probably sound like the 4 string model. In my experience, the 4 strings have a tone similar to the 4001 but a little softer and more 'woody'.
