Where's Everyone From?

Hey.

I'm fairly new to the forum and like most forumites am completely addicted. ie I'm on it almost every day. Not always posting but having a look, learning new stuff and having a laugh.

I sometimes come across threads where people suddenly realise that they live near other forum members .

How about we all find out where each other is from?

I live in Central Scotland in the UK and for what it is worth, have never seen anyone (except Chris Squire in concert) that plays a Rick. Say it isn't so?

Ahh, the land of hagus (is that how it is spelled?). I've never been there but hope to, someday. I am from the frozen tundra of the midwestern United States. Chicago, to be more precise.

Aahh Haggis. that rarest of beasties hunted in the highlands of scotland. Home of the single malt scotch ( none of that coarse bourbon ) Rabbie Burns and Kilts.

If you ever plan on visiting Scotland, let me know and I'll let you know the best places to go (surprisingly Edinburgh isn't one of them ( no offence to anyone from edinburgh))

I'm from Charlotte NC Derek. I suppose we will be seeing you in the bass section- I see you like 4000's and 4003's-what about the onesey's and twosey's? In case you didn't know, clicking on someone's name will pull up their profile-there can be some interesting stuff there-hope you find some potatos.

All joking aside, this type of thread has been covered before, and probably disappeared off the board a couple months back. But you may search for it and see if it is still around. I don't remember what section it was in but Peter could tell you.

I'm from Oregon in the USA btw.

A friend of mine went to seminary in Edinburgh. I've seen a few pictures of the town and that impressive bridge.

I hear that haggis is an acquired taste. Some people really like it while others can barely say the word without having to suppress a barf. There seems to be little middle ground in the haggis world.

I tried haggis when I was younger and living in Norway. We had "International Day" at school, and our teacher, who was Scottish, brought in some of it. Possibly the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. Then again, several people in the class loved it, so I think you're right about it being a love-it-or-hate-it food.

I live in Ohio right now. I suppose I'm *from* Minnesota, but I've never lived anywhere for longer than 5 years . . . I'm a citizen of the world!

I had a 4001 faker that would've fooled the best of us (apart from the single truss rod) A 4002 in Scotland, never mind in the UK is something i would like to see. Matter of fact, I sold something recently on Ebay to a guy that had a 4002. Mmmm.

The greatest claim to fame of Camelon ( the village I live in) is the biggest rotating canal wheel in Europe, One of King Arthurs castles and where Donald Sutherland's father-in-law came from

I think haggis is like black pudding ( blood pudding in the US? ) with oats and stuff added in. Perhaps an aquired taste like guinness, black olives and "King of the Hill".

I've only recently got into the Rickenbacker addiction with my purchase of 2 4003s and couldn't find anything that let you know where everyone is from so apologies if this has been done before.

My posts seem to be getting longer to type so to answer the posts that have possibly been added in the meantime while I have been typing: Yes, Possibly and not unless there is beer involved.

Hello Derek and welcome aboard....I had the pleasure of doing a mini tour of the UK a few years back and really loved the Scottland part...we played Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness...beautiful country and great people...I'm a long time resident of Atlanta Georgia aka HOTLANTA
