One of the reasons I had so much sidewalk to shovel today is that my neighbor across the street is in Hawaii for a couple of months, and I promised him I'd do it for him while he was away...ironic. It didn't seem like that big a deal when I agreed to it...

Speaking of getting blasted this weekend...

Oh well... i see it... steppin' over the fence which once was 1 m high...
...snow-free paths in the evening, and next morning, no sign of paths...
...still, it's not Antarctica anyway...

Dane, you're in Colorado? Had to check your profile after reading about the need to shovel snow. I'm flying into Denver on Thursday... My parents are up in Boulder now.

As far as this thread is concerned, no worries... It's just that every fiftieth time the guy gets slammed, it gets harder not to reply... and as you can tell by my post count, I do a whole lot more reading than I do posting.

Well, the snow, Alan, is a white wintry substance, it falls from the sky and it is sort of pleasant (as Mousie has said, quoting an unknown child from Korney Chukovsky's book, "you can build a snowman out of snow, but what can you build out of the sun?"). And you can play "snow balls" as well. I look at my window and see a lot of this thing. The pic that Kent has posted shows some as well. This thing is a bit cold but very nice. IMHO.

No. That is a picture of something known as "Fog". It is what those in warmer climates like to occasionally get their knickers in a twist over, because it is "foggy". I drive through it daily. I make sure to close my windows. I've heard rumors of monsters hiding in there

Sheena, Stephen King is one strange dude. My own favorite writers run to a different flavor, although I've read a few of his books.

Jack Finney is my favorite, time after time. It seems that time and again, I'll find myself re-reading one or another of his books. Or perhaps I'm only reading them for the first time; I'm not sure. Highly recommended for those who enjoy dejá vu.

I saw the Grammys last night. They were played really late here.. finally ended at 2am. Fine Line, IMHO, sucked live, and wasn't very rocking. The piano was cool though. Helter Skelter was cool, but it lost it's coolness after Paul repeated the line "She's comin down fast" 12 times. Jay Z, Linkin Park and McCartney was kinda cool, and I though it was hilarious that Jay Z had to say "yeah" or "ungh" after every verse.

The rest of the show was kinda lame. Kelly Clarkson's performance was incredible.. she gives me goosebumps when I hear her live. I just got Coldplay's new CD too and I was dissapointed at the live version of "Talk". He sings falsetto way too much and that song sounded weak and airy live. The CD is wonderful though and is very relaxing.

Whenever I hear a falsetto king like that I can't help but think he's setting himself up for a disappointing show when he hits middle age and later.

LOL. Well I've heard a couple of their older songs. He has a decent mid range voice. He's good when he doesn't go falsetto, but there's not one song on this near perfect CD than he's not falsetto for more than half the song. Oh well, I'm sure there live shows are stellar.
