CALLING RONN ROBERTS!

Post by loendmaestro »

Hey Ronn, tried to email you but it got kicked back. Below you'll find the transcript of my email. My apologies to everyone else & my thanks to Peter Mc Cormack for allowing me the forum to contact Ronn...

Hey Ronn,
Don't know if you remember me or not, but you gave me the heads up to go & visit the Bass Emporium when I was in Austin a year or so ago to visit my old singer.
This is a bit of a roundabout story, but I was doing a search for Funkadelic images on Google & came across a picture Demian/Bubby Puppy with Funkadelic. Upon further investigation it seems that Dave Fore from Demian is your drummer?!?!
Is that still the case? I f***ing love that Demian record. I'm only 35 years old, but when I was 15 my guitar/bass teacher turned me on to that record. Windy City, Face The Crowd, Todd's Tune, Coming....that LP kicks much ***. I have a white label promo copy of it that I have lovingly transferred to CD.
I know it won't mean much, but if you can give Dave an "attaboy" for me on that one I'd appreciate it.

I love that record & it's further proof on what a small world this really is!!

Thanks,
Chris Poteat

Chris, yes of course I remember you. I've changed my email address and can't figure out how to change it in my profile.

Send me an email and I'll send you Dave's email address. He loves to hear from fans.

Oh, and I've seen that photo you mention, it used to hang on the wall in our old rehearsal room. Here's me and Dave(we're just friends!), note Hofner case.

Ronn, go to the top of page, right side, "Edit Profile."

I know but when I do I get
"There are no user accounts matching the username and/or e-mail address you entered on the previous screen." 'cause my email address is now different than what's "on file" with the forum.

Ronn, one more suggestion: as far as i remember, there's a "blank" question/answer field in the profile, where you can fill in any question and any answer...
Nothing will get you dead quicker than being deadly serious about yourself.
