Aitch's US Tour
Moderators: rickenbrother, ajish4
Thanks very much to everybody for the info and emails, etc. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated and I will reply to all.
Nate: We'll stay in touch - it's easy for me - a few beers and a good feed will often suffice. You can't drink but I assume you eat from time to time.... yes?
Graham: I haven't started organising some of the accommodation yet. A number of members have offered their homes - I appreciate it immensely and can't wait to be with them and have the opportunity to thank them for their extreme generosity. I'm currently looking at hotel and motel chain 'packages' but I'm open to any and all suggestions and recommendations. Last time I was in London (2002) I stayed at a 'hotel' of sorts (more like a bed-sit) in Bayswater.
Dean: I'm into anything that can be put together. One of the reasons for my trip is to meet as many forumites as possible - you're all great fun and have made my time here most enjoyable.
Noel: Yeah.. thanks for that! Guess I'll have to drop in and have a gander. Not just the CME, either. I have a feeling that I'll be a bit like a kid in a toyshop when I'm in the US!
BTW.... are there any good amusement parks in or near my destinations? Apart from other things I'm a roller coaster freak!

Here's a park just outside of Toronto:

Howard, you're in luck: the "Screamin' Eagle"
is located at Six Flags St. Louis.

You might want to wait to visit the Budweiser brewery until after you've done this.

Crikey!! I'm there, Lindsay!
Bob: Thanks for the offer. I'll contact you off-forum about a few things.
BTW, please don't think I'm hanging out for freebies, guys. It's always been my intention to pay my way - the offers of accommodation are teriffic and gratefully accepted. Given that I know nothing about the areas I'm visting I figure you guys might be able to impart a bit of local knowledge.

"H"! I've been reading about your upcoming trip to the US and it sounds pretty neat. I'm sure you'll have a great time over here. What a tour!!
When you get here, let me know if you run into Matt Foley. He's a motivational speaker that lives in a van, down by the river.
(also, to be on the safe side, steer clear of anyone named Fred Garvin.)
