Even if he asked, I would have said no because I would have had no way of knowing if a picture of my bass would have been in any way representative of his. On Ebay there is simply no room for playing fast and loose with the facts. He had no way of knowing if the pictures were copyrighted. So yes, use of my picture was tantamount to stealing.

... you do not have the authority to instruct me to pull MY AUCTIONS ...
Wrong. Under basic copyright laws, Ted owns that picture and its use without the consent of the owner is prohibited by law. eBay could also be in violation of the law by 'publishing' the infringed material. Ted was doing the seller a favor by contacting him.

If it had been my picture, I probably would have e-mailed eBay, told them that they were being sued for copyright infringement because of that ad, and they would have unceremoniously pulled that clown's auction (with penalties, too, hopefully).

Now is Mike Parks going to ask him to remove the pictures of the bass he had for sale?

It seems to be a micro-scale version of what JH has to deal with on a daily basis. A borrowed picture without notice to the bidders is a serious violation of social contract.

Lets see, he uses Ted's photo's, shows a bass that is not his, and gets snotty when Ted asks that he not illegally display photo's that belong to Ted. Great thinker, next Dodge Viper I see, I'll just take it if I cannot find the owner.

Ladies and gents, I believe we have a real winner here. He gets a KMA certificate and loses the right to reproduce.

No more Rickenbackers for you huckleberry!

The Emperor's new clothing is a Tuxedo perhaps?

Great song Bobcat, can't remember the verse.

Steve, surprisingly simple. At home he appears like your typical next door guy.

This was his L.A. home, about 6500 s.f. They alluded to his castle in England. Various instruments about the house with a room full of recording gear.

Nice fellow, stark contrast to a rappers home also on the program. I used to think Kid Rock was a joke. Well the joke is on me. These guys are spanking the money tree.
