Holy moly ... is the current high bidder (mtmmat) one of us?

I was in that Guitar Center this afternoon! I didn't even look at the basses because, well, It's Guitar Center and I was just there to get some 250k pots and had to wait for 20 min. before someone would get the 2 packages from the wall! From what the rep seems to state on the auction, they don't have it up for sale at the store anyway. If someone here is bidding and wants me to check it out, let me know.

The kicker here is that if he had placed the bid through the IE site instead of eBay he could have bought it now at that price....

I believe our friend Edgar is all over it. I hope he wins...saves him airfare to Japan.

The action looks a bit... unplayable. Unless you're Jamerson.

Hey Marc,

I'm definitely all over it. It's in the perfect condition for repair and restoration, which is what I wanted in the first place.
I still have my eye set on the one in Japan but will see. According to a friend that translated the site, the bass is on consignment and if it doesn't sell soon, it's going to be removed.

Good luck , Edgar! I love my 4005WB...it is my main gigging bass.

I believe you were looking for a nice player....not a "museum piece"....go for it!
