TRC differences

OKAY! I think I've got it.

So, overall, I've found six different types of truss rod covers.

First generation: Back-painted plexiglass, sharp sides, no "Made In USA".
Second generation: Back-painted plexiglass, sharp sides, "Made In USA" parallel to logo.
Third generation: Back-painted plexiglass, sharp sides, "Made In USA" parallel to nut.

Fourth generation: Back-painted plexiglass, sharp sides, "Made In USA" parallel to nut, as well as model number.
Fifth generation: Molded plastic with raised logo lettering, curved sides, "Made In USA" parallel to nut as well as model number.
Sixth generation: Molded plastic with raised logo lettering, curved sides, "Made In USA" parallel to nut, no model number.

What about the '56 - '57 Combo 400-450 anodized aluminum TRC? Also the '60 embossed aluminum TRC? I'll try and put up pics today.

As long as we're obsessing, let's be 100% correct and say "radiused corners" instead of "curved edges". They all have "curved edges".

Don't forget Gold backed & white backed & moldy white & moldy black.

...and for the metal truss covers of the fifties, there were gold ones & black ones.

...and there's "Rickenbacker by Eddie Peabody".

Not to mention, Electro, Ryder, and "Mando Guitar by Ferrara"

I think I went to high school with her...

I was smoking in the back of my van once with two co-workers right after our shift...an African American, a Chicano, and me, the "tokin' Cracker". I mentioned at one point that I had never gotten very good at 'rolling', because I was "used to Paraphernalia". We were all silent for a moment...then my Chicano friend said, in his best 'pachuco' voice: "I'm used to her sister!"
