We'll almost always throw in there Mustang Sally (in F), which is great for guests to sit in on, plus Brown Eyed Girl and Margaritaville, if you know those. We can learn a song or two on the spot if they're not too tough, too. One time we had an Elvis impersonator cross our paths, and we learned "Burning Love" on the spot; the crowd ate it up. Let me know if you've got a favorite or two, and we'll be ready for those, too.
Keep 'em coming, guys. I need to know what sort of stuff I should 'bone up on' before the time comes if I'm to sit in. With my playing ability, the simpler the better!
"Blues in A" anyone?
Send me a playlist and I'll know whether I can sit in or spend my time at the bar listening. Either way, I'm sure it will be great fun!

I know plenty, Nate. It's the playing that's the challenge!!
I'm OK with some of it (things like Breathe In The Air, Time, Brain Damage, Eclipse, Shine On, Wish You Here, etc.) but I'm basically a rhythm guitarist so my 'fretboard gymnsatics' are not up there with even your average player. However, tell me what you like and I'll see if we can work something out before I get there.
I'll have a guitar with me, so that's a start!

Chicago, Chicago!!
I'm seeking some assistance from members in the Chicago area. I'll be staying there for two nights (October 3rd and 4th) before I head off to England and am looking for tips on where to stay. I'll be arriving by train from Springfield, so proximity to wherever that would arrive would be a bonus. I'd like to visit a guitar shop or two while I'm there (CME comes to mind), so something 'geographically friendly' in that regard would be handy also.
Any thoughts and suggestions would be most gratefully received......
