660/12 Special Vintage Edition?
Hi Rickenbacker Experts,
I bought a new 660/12 in New York sometime around 2000 and had thought it was not just "with the vintage pickups," but indeed that it was a special edition vintage reissue...akin to the v63 and v64 models that some other models offer as variations. Now I can't find any information on this.
Can anybody here help me out about what I have here? It is black and beautiful, but I would like to know the exact designation.
So cool to have found this forum. I am a little afraid, however, that reading posts here will only feed a Rickenbacker G.A.S. problem for me. I see that there are many who are so afflicted her.

Wish they had done that with the 360CW, or the 350SH!
I'm a fairly new owner of a 660/12 (Blue Boy) and i'll also add my praise here. I traded a 370/12BB for it and I like it so much more - the classic deluxe features, the wide neck, the toasters, it's better then I ever expected it to be when I was still just lusting over it.

Man, that was quick! Thanks everyone.
It was funny. I had been keeping a lookout for a good Fender XII to come along for a number of years, and then I just picked this guitar down off the wall on a whim. Next thing I know, it comes home with me, and somehow I have never given that Fender another thought since.

I have a 660/12 as well which I love (it also has the distinction of being my first Rick guitar), but I also have a Fender MIJ Strat XII. The Fender XII is a great little guitar with a sweet neck. It's great to have two very different 12-string sounds at my disposal & I've recorded with both. If you can find one of those XIIs grab one.
Here's the 660/12

My first and presently only Ric is a 660/12. Amazing and fantastic guitar.
Rumbush, THAT is a stunning guitar!!! I have never seen (photo or live) a 660 with that much figure! Wild!

Never, ever drool on your surf shirt. It wrecks the solo.
