4005 owners ?
So how many of you guys with "tuna boats" actually Use them on a regular basis, as opposed to, "kinda like them, own them, but have them more for investment/curiousities' sake?
Reason I ask; I have for sale, to someone who is a tweak head, a custom milled Stainless steel bridge w/ baseplate, that retrofits a 4005.I had a 4005 enthusiast customer that had like 4 of these back in the early 90s, who complaned that the stock bridges rattled, and had lack of good sustain.Longer story made short, I took the stock bridge to a local toolmaker, and got him to make stainless versions of the original. We had 2 made initially, and they performed really great. The guy then "committed" to having one more made, which, in good faith, I had a 3rd made, but then he backed out of it, so here I am, with this nice, precision made bridge I have no use for.Anyone interested, email me at: [email protected]
I'm getting some digital pix taken of some stuff this afternoon, so if you want to see it, it can be arranged.

I haven't had any issues with the bridge on mine ever, and I've had it since '73. I have posted many pics of me playing my '67 4005WB at recent gigs. If you want to see it in action come see my band www.rareblend.net at Porter's Restaurant and Tap Room this coming Saturday evening in Erie, Pa.
Here are a couple from a recent gig.

I usually play guitar, but tomorrow I start recording for my band's next CD and a tune for inclusion on this year's IPO comp. So I've been practicing the tunes on bass as well (since I'll be doing those parts too).
Well, I tried the songs out on a Hofner club (2nd place) and a v63 (3rd place), and the 4005 came in at first place. That's the one I'll be recording.
