Mids are awesome, overtones or no overtones.

I have some cabs that give me a lot of overtones and some give me a more fundamental sound ... I mix and match them to change my sound ... but these days I lean more towards the John Wetton King Crimson sound ...

With my bass pod I have 4 presets ... 1 is distortion with mids ... 2 is clean with mids ... 3 is distortion with scooped out mids ... 4 is a tube amp with chorus ... those 4 presets give me pretty much everything I need ...

I'm really happy with my Ashdown Mag 300 4x10 amp.

I'm playing a 4001c64s through it, and I'm bypassing the eq. Great sound.

I love my Mesa Bass 400. Has great tubey grit, and more clarity at the same time...
