Ricky Dealers

Post by webhead »

A friend of mine recommended North Coast Music. Has anyone ever dealt with them? I can't seem to locate a phone # for them, just a website and an e-mail address.

I have and it was a not-so-hot experience (that's being very nice). I know others here are ok with NCM. IMHO, Chris at Pick of the Ricks or Mike at The Rickenbacker Page will give you a superlative Rick-buying experience.

Highly recommended. He doesn't like to do business over the phone as he and his wife are the operators. He's got lots of businesses, actually. He's "Sonic" speakers, he's involved with Vox amps, he's Northcoast Music, and he performs in at least two bands. I've bought one new Rick and one new Hofner from him in the last few years, and have one more Rick on order. You might be able to find lower prices, but it would be by pennies I think. I recommend Northcoast.

I bought a C64, and a C64S from Gary, and he had the best price around. He ships DHL and double-boxes. Like Paul said, you do business with him by email, but I never had any problems and would recommend him.
If you want pictures, Gary will send you a ton of high resolution pics for $5 bucks, that will be refunded if you purchase a guitar, or bass.
Buy it before someone else does.

I just bought my 370/12 from NCM, and it was quick and easy. You have to communicate via email and order via fax, but it's worth it.

I just bought a Hofner Club in black w/gold from NCM. Quick, easy. Gary answered my pestering emails and the guitar came set up perfectly.

Other than NCM, I've only dealt with Mike Parks (excellent) and forum members (again, excellent).
