There is a thread on the Voxtalks forum where someone states that they have received theirs. I was actually waiting for that person to chime in here but, maybe he's not a member(?).

Marc Speed ("Speed"), a member of the BGC, received his from North Coast last week.

"I realized that this guitar is far too rare and expensive for me to keep".

Yeah...right! If that is the only reason why is he asking about a thousand more...I'll wait for mine thank you!

What's the difference between the 325c64 and the "Miami" that was out a few years ago?

I even tried to find an old catalog that I may have had. But I didn't find any.

I recently played a 325c64 and noticed several differences both visual and tonal. I noticed a difference in weight and resonance. The 325c64 is internally constructed differently than the v-series. The inside is more hollowed out, and instead of leaving a virtually solid area beneath the brigde it is hollow with one single brace running at an angle across the body beneath the treble pickup. The neck has no volute and a correct shaped headstock. I liked it alot more than the v-series. I plan on ordering either one of those or a 1996.

Sweet. When was the V series discontinued?

It hasn't been discontinued. Their are several models still available through RIC in the "V" series. The 1996 that Jonathan mentions is part of the "V" series. The "Beatle" guitars were discontinued when the "C" Series was announced.

The 1996 is listed as a v series, but it is like the c64 on the inside. I am going to order a 1996.

Did RIC sell the 1996 from this year's NAMM? Was wondering what became of that gem...

Also, is the 325c64 lighter than the 325v63? I recently played the v63 for the first time and was shocked at how heavy it is relative to its size.

I am not sure of the actual difference in weight, but it is a notable difference. It is also much more resonant. I never liked the sound of the v63 due to its solid body sound characteristics. It was a quality guitar, but I prefer a more resonant sound by preference.

Just picked up my brand new 325c64. Haven't had a chance to play with it yet. I am very excited. Holy smokes.

OK, guys, big dilemma - what do I do about the Made in America sticker? I am thrilled that it is made in America, but it does kind of stand out on the pick guard.

So, anyway, I am finally part of the Rickenbacker family, so to speak.
