Do the V63s have Chromes on them? Maybe your band can just come out to see us and consider that practice! Watching a good band always constitutes a form of practice for me. Gets me motivated. Image

Charly,

You're just imagining that it's a mouse. I still see a rabbit.

Jeffrey,

The V's have GHS Boomers on them.

We have a big gig coming up next week and need to learn a couple new tunes. So, we can't blow this one off.
I do plan on stopping in after practice though.

Fran,

That is a bit of a drive. If you ever get up this way, give a shout!

$2475?!!!! Yikes! Great!

I mean oh no!

No wait, that's good!

No, not good!

****, is that good or bad or both?

Starting to feel like Curly, got his look going.

These prices are all over the place. Just this week I was looking at a nice Alembic at Bass Central. They would only go $700 for my excellent V63 on the Alembic that cost more than my car.

Used Rick prices make the new stuff a screaming deal.
I'm just happy to be here.

Wow! That makes me feel better about buying two for the prices I got them at.
The more they go up, the less my wife is mad at me!!! Image

J. Gary:

Wow, Bass NW only offered you $700.00 for your bass? That's amazing. I'm told they are usually very fair. I guess they should look at E-bay a little more often! OH man, a NEW Alembic is so far out of my reach. I just have to be quite content with my used ones! But I know what you mean by

Kevin:
Our wives must be comparing notes! I just said to the Mrs, "See, I told you I got a good deal on my V63, look at how much money we made" and she responded with "Oh good, so you going to sell it?", in which I promptly replied "NO, are you crazy? You know how long I've been looking for one". Her reply.... "Than you didn't make a dime, and it isn't worth anything unless you sell it, it still cost us for the purchase of the bass"!

You know, you can't win.... Image

V63's are funny basses. They seem to go anywhere from $1500.00 to about $2800.00.

If they keep going up like this, I may sell mine, I love the bass, but the horseshoe really gets in my way. I would sell it before I'd mod it though.

Sell it to me, Scott. I'll mod it!

Really though...I don't consider shoe-removal much of a mod. Its easily reversible and the result is a bass that still sounds fabulous, still looks great and is more playable to some of us finger-style players.
Play what you love, love what you play!
